I was on 2nd-shooter duties helping out Mr Smart with a wedding in New York. I covered the groom getting ready and then had a little picture making fun with the awesome wedding party before they headed out to the ceremony.

I especially liked the group picture above as I got to try out the photo stitching method I learned from Ryan Brenizer. It’s a technique where your subjects have to stand really still while you take a bunch of pictures. In post-production, you ‘stitch’ the pictures together to make them look like one shot. For those of you who know a little about photography, you may ask, ‘why not use a wider lens?”….In all honesty, there are a few benefits to taking the picture this way, but that aside, some of us just simply enjoy that road less traveled . I think this particular one turned out pretty ok.

I’ve been busy busy with wedding season (more posts to come soon) and lights… I’ve been in the process of setting up a studio these past few months as I’m diversifying my portfolio of services into beauty and fashion. Yury & Wali opted for a “First Look” before their wedding ceremony. It was on the grounds of their hotel, the Wilshire Grand. We shot Wali, his Grooms Men and ‘THOR’ right before the first look and it all set the tone for the rest of their wonderful wedding day.

Like I said earlier, THOR made a special apprearance

We had Wali at the end of a walkway in the garden waiting on his beautiful bride.

She had to make sure her man was picture perfect.

Love and Joy were in overdrive at Yury & Wali’s day and it was easy to see that these two have a really special bond. I appreciate the trust the couple put in me to capture their wedding and I wish them a Happy Married Life.

I had the pleasure of shooting Modupe & Femi’s E-Session a few weekends ago. It was one of those days we were hoping the Weather man was wrong or the rain would be nice and hold out till we were done taking pictures. It didn’t quite work out that way and Mr. Weather Man was right..well somewhat right. It did start raining, we went half way across town to a rain locataion, but we got to there, the rain stopped! The couple were really cool and extremely gracious about it all and we ended up having a really nice session.

Congrats to the couple on their upcoming wedding.

I shot Yury & Wali’s wedding very recently and like I anticipated from their e-session, it was fun times. The Love and Energy between both of them was simply incredible and I appreciate the opportunity I was given to document the event.

I’m loving the way the pictures from this session are turning out given the ‘excitement’ the rain brought down and some of the last minute adjustments we had to make. Two thumb-up’s to the couple for their awesome attitude and graciousness.
